China’s First Digital Movie LED Cinema Industry Standard Released

Digital cinema is an important development direction of the current film and television industry. It has higher picture quality, wider color gamut coverage, and lower operating costs. However, as digital movies continue to develop, their requirements for theater hardware equipment and technology are also increasing.

Recently, the National Film Administration recently issued a notice that my country's first digital movie LED cinema industry standard "Digital Cinema LED Cinema Technical Requirements and Measurement Methods" was officially released. In the context of the accelerated advancement of domestic LED movie projection technology in domestic and overseas markets, it has successfully Filling the gap in domestic industry standards.


This standard stipulates the optical and acoustic technical requirements and measurement methods for digital movie LED theaters to ensure the excellent presentation quality of LED movie projection systems. It is my country's first digital movie LED theater industry standard and the first industry standard since the establishment of the National Film Standardization Technical Committee. The first industry standard released has guiding significance for improving the quality of my country's digital movie LED cinema projection and standardizing the R&D and production of related equipment. It will effectively promote my country's independent intellectual property rights LED movie projection system to break foreign technology and market monopoly, continue to expand and deepen application .

The standard also stipulates terms and definitions, abbreviations, composition and technical requirements for digital cinema LED cinemas. Among them, technical requirements are the core part, covering multiple aspects such as theater optical performance, image quality, stability, and reliability.

It is reported that the digital movie LED projection system is based on active light-emitting display technology and consists of LED display screen, LED controller, digital movie playback server (IMB) and sound reproduction system. It has high brightness, high contrast, display consistency, screen size and resolution. Technical advantages such as rate scalability, as well as commercial advantages such as the ease of carrying out digital content value-added services, provide a new presentation method for digital movie screening.
