Although LED transparent display screen is an outdoor product, it is mainly used for outdoor display. For the LED screen market, the strong demand of the outdoor market and market segments is unmatched by the outdoor, and glass curtain wall is one of the market segments.

Outdoor transparent screen, the area ranges from tens of square meters to hundreds of square meters, with high brightness, can work in the sun, and has the functions of windproof, rainproof and waterproof. The transparent LED display does not need so many requirements. What is the difference between transparent LED display and outdoor transparent screen? How to choose a model?

I. The difference between transparent LED display and outdoor transparent screen

1. Different environmental requirements

Transparent LED displays are installed indoors and generally do not need to be waterproof and windproof, while outdoor transparent screens must be waterproof and dustproof due to the diversity of use environments, and can generally reach IP65 protection level.

2. Different brightness requirements

The strong outdoor light leads to high brightness requirements for outdoor transparent screens, generally above 4000CD/㎡. If the brightness is not handled well or there is reflection, it will affect the viewing effect. For transparent LED displays, the requirements for brightness are relatively low, generally around 2000CD/㎡.

3. Different viewing distances

The transparent LED display has a large area and a long viewing distance, generally within 10 meters, while the outdoor transparent screen has a small area and a short viewing distance, generally within 10 meters. Therefore, the requirements for pixels per inch of transparent LED displays are not as high as that of outdoor transparent screens. Because of the long observation distance, the pixels per inch are low and the dot spacing is large.

4. The cost of raw materials is different

There are many factors that affect the price of LED transparent display screen:

One is the material. The material of the lamp bead is different, and the quotation will of course be different; the second is the dot pitch of the LED transparent screen. Under the same area, the smaller the point spacing, the more light sources are used, and the cost will naturally increase.

II. How to choose transparent LED display?

It is not recommended to choose a large-spacing specification for a small-area screen, but it is possible to choose a small-spacing specification for a large-area screen. For example, for a transparent LED screen of about 20 square meters, it is recommended to choose 7.8, not 10.4 or 12.5; for a transparent LED screen of more than 50 square meters, you can choose from 3.9, 7.8, and 10.4. If the budget is sufficient, the effect of choosing 3.9 is of course obvious, but it is more economical to choose a model above 7.8.

In addition, it needs to be considered according to the use environment and budget. For example, indoor and outdoor are different, the outdoor display brightness is low, the outdoor display brightness is high, and the outdoor screen must be waterproof.
